We’d like to remind our esteemed readers that one of the main goals of our comic strip is to examine political issues in an open and constructive way. Today’s the first day you’re catching a glimpse of the cat version of President Biden.
Eighty years ago on November 20, 1942, some significant World War II events happened including the ending of the Siege of Malta and the British Army retaking Benghazi from the Axis powers Italy and Nazi Germany. Also on that same day in 1942, a boy named Joseph Robinette Biden was born who would later become the USA’s 46th President.
President Biden is already the oldest sitting president in American history. His age has become a significant issue to many voters during his reelection campaign. Fortunately for President Biden, he has already exceeded life expectancy for his generation and still has good quality of life.
Being tired is a normal part of life for everyone and often increases as we age. Being the President of the USA is also a demanding job. Take some time to consider or discuss whether you think age limits are appropriate for our leaders in government.
