#56: “A Pardon from Santa Paws” - 12/18/2024
PawNotes 🐾
On December 1st, President Biden pardoned (or forgave on behalf of the government) his son Hunter for any and all crimes he has committed or may have committed from January 1, 2014 until December 1, 2024 Here’s a link to the pardon and his statement about it. He later pardoned almost 1,500 other people.
Although the President’s authority to grant pardons comes right from the constitution in Article II, Section 2, they have often been a controversial topic. Please take time to consider and discuss with a trusted family member or friend whether you think it’s good for our country that the president has this specific power.
